What are the advantages of a Removable Swimming Pool Safety Fence?

Removable is the key word.  While most pool owners with young children prefer to leave their pool fence up all the time, the entire pool fence and gate can be easily removed in 10 minutes or less.  This is especially handy if you are entertaining guests or having any sort of special occasion around your pool area.  The pool fence can be rolled up for compact storage until you are ready to put it back up. Putting the fence back up is just as easy.  Simply insert the poles into the deck holes and connect the sections to each other with the latches that are attached to each end.  It’s that simple!

How does a Removable Swimming Pool Safety Fence compare to pool nets and pool covers?

The primary difference between pool fences and pool nets and covers, is the usability and convenience of each. With a pool net or pool cover, you must first remove the net or cover each and every time you want to enter the pool.  Then, in order to keep your pool safe, it must be promptly replaced when you are finished with your swim.  This can be extremely inconvenient, especially in the summer months when you might want to use your pool on a daily basis.  We have gone on numerous pool fence estimate requests where the pool owner first purchased a pool net or pool cover, but it is generally clumped together in a pile on the side of the pool due to the difficulty of having to take it off and replace it after each pool use. A pool net or cover that isn’t being promptly replaced after the pool use is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. How safe is your pool if you end up leaving it in a pile on the side of your pool area?

Ask yourself this question: Are you willing to take the net or cover down each time you swim and promptly replace it each time you are done?  If your answer is yes then a net or cover might be a great option for you.  If you hesitated for even a second or your answer is no, you might want to consider a pool fence where these steps are not necessary.

Will a Removable Swimming Pool Safety Fence satisfy the regulatory agency requirements in my area?

Each of our Aquaguard swimming pool safety fences are designed and manufactured to meet and exceed the strictest safety guidelines.  Most cities require a four foot high pool fence. However, if you own or operate a daycare, are planning on adopting a child or are becoming a foster parent, you will probably be required to have a five foot high pool fence.  For your convenience, Aquaguard Pool Fences manufactures pool fencing in both four foot and five foot models to accommodate your individual pool fencing needs.  We also offer a self-closing, self-latching, key-lockable safety gate to satisfy your local requirement. While these are the requirements that we find in almost all jurisdictions, we do leave it up to the customer to guarantee the specific compliance requirements in their area and Aquaguard cannot make a predetermination as to the suitability of its barriers for purposes of satisfying any specific jurisdiction.

Will holes have to be drilled into my deck for the installation of my pool fencing?

Yes, it is necessary to drill 5/8 inch holes into your concrete or other deck surface to secure the deck sleeves and support poles.  These holes will generally be located every 36 inches, except for in custom areas such as stairs where they might need to be spaced closer together. A professional grade drill bit is used to ensure that the surrounding concrete is not damaged or chipped, and then a plastic sleeve is inserted in the hole. Upon request, our installers can save some of the concrete shavings that come out of each hole when drilled so that if you ever want to fill the holes, you can simply fill them most of the way with new concrete, and then sprinkle your saved concrete shavings on the top to make it look like there was never a hole in your deck. This is yet another way that Aquaguard goes above and beyond to satisfy our customer’s needs. ***Another important thing to note is that most pool fencing companies require a 1 ¼ inch hole be drilled into your deck.  We have come up with a way to reduce this size by half through an in innovative steel rod design.  See OUR POOL FENCES more information on our poles.
